Embark on a rewarding Special Education opportunity supporting students across elementary, middle, or high school levels for the 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite, contract-based role is dedicated to helping learners thrive in inclusive classroom environments within schools in the Hanahan, SC area, with immediate consideration for those who specify caseload and preferred grade levels.

Preferred assignment options include:

  • Stratford High School (Grades 9–12): Resource / Co-Teach positions
  • Westview Elementary School (Grades K–5): Resource / Co-Teach positions
  • Sangaree Middle School (Grades 6–8): Resource / Co-Teach positions

With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll work collaboratively with other dedicated professionals, making a significant difference in student achievement and growth.

Desired qualifications:

  • Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license (excludes Teachers for Tomorrow credentials)
  • Previous experience in resource or co-teaching special education settings preferred
  • Passion for fostering positive, inclusive learning environments across diverse grade levels
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored lesson plans and interventions in resource or co-taught environments
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiation
  • Assess student progress and participate in IEP development and meetings
  • Implement evidence-based instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
  • Maintain accurate student records and comply with all federal, state, and district SPED regulations
  • Establish positive rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
