Key Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license (SC SPED License) required
• Experience supporting diverse learning needs in a cross-categorical classroom preferred
• Demonstrated skills in creating differentiated lesson plans and individualized instructional strategies
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and classroom management abilities
• Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in a cross-categorical special education classroom for students in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
• Monitor student progress and update educational plans as needed
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques to address diverse learning modalities
• Foster an encouraging, structured, and safe classroom setting

Role Details:

• Contract duration: August 5th, 2026, through June 4th, 2027
• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, aligning with the school calendar
