Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction and individualized educational programming to students with special needs
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and families to implement and monitor IEP goals
- Create a supportive, structured classroom atmosphere that nurtures growth and fosters student independence
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in line with school and state guidelines
- Participate in staff in-service day (7/7/26) to prepare for the instructional period
Requirements & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification for the state
- Proven experience or practicum in special education settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to cultivating a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Ability to adapt instruction and intervention based on student needs
Assignment Details:
- ESY instructional days: 7/8/26 – 7/30/26, Monday to Thursday
- Approximate hours during ESY: 8:15am – 11:45am
- Anticipated hours for 2026/2027 school year: 7:45am – 3:15pm
- Contract assignment with further school year opportunities
