Special Education Teacher | Hanover, Pennsylvania

A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support preschool students as an itinerant educator. This contract position offers a unique chance to work with children in multiple locations in the Hanover and Adams County areas, with a main base at the NOCO facility. The role runs from July 1, 2026, through September 11, 2026, with regular hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education (must be current and submitted with your resume)
• Experience in early childhood or preschool settings preferred
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to multiple sites within the assigned region

Primary Duties:

• Provide direct, individualized special education services to preschool-aged students in a variety of educational environments
• Develop and implement IEPs collaboratively with families and service teams
• Consult with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists to facilitate inclusion and ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely progress reports
• Engage and support families as active participants in their child’s learning journey
