Special Education Teacher - Hanover, Pennsylvania

Two enthusiastic Special Education Teachers are needed to support Autistic Support Rooms beginning August 2026 through June 2027. You’ll work onsite Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, collaborating with fellow educators to foster growth and achievement for each student.

Your expertise will be essential as you create positive, inclusive experiences and individualized instruction in a setting where every accomplishment counts. Flexibility is key, as room assignments may be adjusted based on student or center needs, allowing you to broaden your skills and impact.

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certificate
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum strongly preferred
• Ability to submit all required Pennsylvania clearances and complete agency-assigned pre-trainings prior to start
• Strong commitment to collaborative, student-centered approaches
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and adaptability in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs
• Foster a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages independence and social-emotional growth
• Track progress and maintain up-to-date records
• Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to ensure continuity of care and support
• Adapt instructional strategies as needed based on student progress or assignment changes
