Special Education Teacher - Hanover, PA

As a vital part of the educational community, you will work onsite from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM alongside a passionate staff and with additional PCA support in each classroom. This role offers the chance to work directly with students, helping them learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential while collaborating with fellow educators and staff.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Pennsylvania (PA) teaching certificate required
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or in Autistic Support settings is highly desirable
• Skill in creating and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to problem solving
• Strong communication skills to partner effectively with families, students, and colleagues
• Capacity for flexibility, creativity, and collaboration in diverse classroom situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized, evidence-based instruction to students in all Autistic Support classrooms
• Develop and execute IEPs alongside the educational team, aligning goals with student needs
• Collaborate with Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to maximize classroom support and instructional effectiveness
• Foster a supportive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with parents and team members
