Key Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia SPED teaching certification (GaPSC) or equivalent credential
• Proven experience in school-based special education environments
• Comprehensive understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance
• Demonstrated skill in adapting curriculum and providing individualized instruction
• Effective classroom management and strong communication abilities
• Collaborative approach, working effectively with general education teachers and support staff
• Commitment to a full-time onsite presence and reliable daily transportation

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver innovative, individualized instruction to meet diverse learner needs in a middle school resource setting
• Implement and monitor IEPs, ensuring student goals are addressed and progress is documented accurately
• Collaborate with general education staff to promote inclusion and best practices
• Maintain a supportive classroom culture that encourages engagement and academic growth
• Communicate progress and strategies with families and educational teams
• Keep thorough records and contribute to state compliance documentation
