Soliant is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher who is passionate about supporting young learners with diverse needs. Assignment Details:
Setting: Early Childhood/Preschool
Duration: NSY - June 12, 2027
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time
Caseload: ~10 students, may fluctuate
Student Population: all disabilities; children ages 3-5 years old
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to preschool-aged students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with each student's goals.
- Support students' academic, social-emotional, communication, and behavioral development.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to address challenging and negative behaviors while fostering a positive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with related service providers, general education staff, administrators, and families to promote student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with special education requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Delaware Early Childhood Special Education teaching certification/licensure.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to support students with a wide range of disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for working in early childhood special education.
- Previous experience teaching preschool-aged students (ages 3–5).
- Experience supporting students with challenging or negative behaviors using positive behavior intervention strategies.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with families and multidisciplinary teams.
