Special Education Teachers (K-12) - Harrisburg, PA

Soliant Education is hiring onsite Special Education Teachers for K-12 openings in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This education industry position is a contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, with an ASAP start date and an anticipated end date of 6/11/2027. The district has needs across Autistic Support and Emotional Support classrooms, with some Learning Support opportunities also available.

Position Overview

This role is a strong fit for educators who are committed to helping students access meaningful instruction in a supportive school setting. Teachers will work with students who have diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs while collaborating with school teams to support individualized goals. The position is onsite and follows the school district calendar for the duration of the assignment.

Responsibilities

The Special Education Teacher will develop and implement instruction aligned with student IEPs and classroom needs. Responsibilities include adapting lessons, tracking progress, supporting behavior plans, and maintaining required documentation. The teacher will also collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, families, and administrators to help students succeed throughout the school year.

Requirements

Applicants should hold appropriate Pennsylvania Special Education certification or be eligible for the required credential. Previous experience in Autistic Support, Emotional Support, Learning Support, or another K-12 special education setting is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite and completing an initial phone screening with a recruiter before being submitted for school district consideration.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this contract position is $40-$50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Soliant Education offers weekly pay along with benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance. Eligible employees may also participate in a 401k plan.
