Special Ed Teacher - Hartford, Connecticut

An elementary school in Hartford, CT is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to provide coverage from October 30 through February 9, 2026. This contract position offers the opportunity to work during the core school year, supporting students within a resource setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting as required
• Participating in team meetings and professional development activities

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification is required
• Active DSAP credential holder only
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload within a resource model
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• School hours: 8:40 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.
