An elementary school in Hartford, CT is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to provide coverage from October 30 through February 9, 2026. This contract position offers the opportunity to work during the core school year, supporting students within a resource setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting as required
- Participating in team meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education certification is required
- Active DSAP credential holder only
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload within a resource model
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- School hours: 8:40 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.
