Step into a rewarding and impactful contract role supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher. This full-time, onsite position is designed to cover a maternity leave, beginning in late September and concluding at the end of December. You’ll work with sixth through eighth graders in a resource room setting, championing the educational growth and well-being of approximately 20 students.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Previous experience with middle school students or similar caseloads
- Strong understanding of IEP development, modifications, and data-driven instruction
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families and staff
- Organizational acumen to manage paperwork, deadlines, and student progress monitoring
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and individualized support to students in the 6th–8th-grade resource room
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, accommodating diverse learning needs
- Maintain regular communication with parents, teachers, and related service providers
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Utilize assessment data to adjust instructional strategies
- Support students in achieving their academic, behavioral, and social goals
