Special Education Teacher - Hartford, Connecticut

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and active Connecticut Special Education Teacher license, plus any required certifications
• Significant experience designing and implementing IEPs
• Strong expertise in individualized instruction and classroom management
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and support staff
• Commitment to cultivating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver tailored instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and colleagues
• Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and school personnel
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and student support initiatives

Available Assignments:

• 9/15–10/27: Special Education Teacher assignment
• 9/28–12/23: Special Education Teacher assignment
• 11/26–2/28: Special Education Teacher assignment

All positions are onsite, with 35 hours per week.
