Special Education Teacher in Hartford, CT

We're seeking dedicated professionals to fill two onsite Special Education Teacher positions—one at the high school level (September through December) and another at the middle school level (starting immediately, with an end date to be determined). What We’re Looking For:

• Active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License
• Experience or familiarity with Connecticut Special Education Data System (CT-SEDS) is a plus
• Knowledge of best practices for students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Adaptability and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Your Role:

• Deliver personalized instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning styles
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administrators
• Maintain accurate and timely educational records
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers
• Participate actively in team meetings and professional development
• Support students’ social-emotional growth in addition to academic achievement

In this contract position, you’ll work onsite for 35 hours per week and take part in a community passionate about empowering students. You’ll also gain valuable experience with CT-SEDS and further hone your teaching skills in a dynamic educational setting.
