Special Education Teacher - Hartford, Connecticut

Full-time contract opportunities are available for Special Education Teachers experienced in K-12 settings near Hartford, CT, with start dates available immediately and continuing through June 11, 2027. With 35 hours per week and several positions open, you will find a supportive environment where your expertise is valued.

You will work collaboratively within Pathways programs for students with multiple disabilities, KEY programs for students with Autism, as well as inclusive classroom environments. This dynamic role provides ample opportunity to develop individualized educational strategies and impact a wide variety of student learners.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Connecticut Special Education (SPED) licensure and certification, mandatory
• Demonstrated experience in school-based special education roles
• Comfortable with K-12 populations in varied instructional settings
• Familiarity with students with multiple disabilities, Autism, and inclusive best practices
• Ability to provide professional references as part of the hiring process
• Prepared to participate in a Zoom interview

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and modify individualized instructional programs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and support student goals
• Deliver differentiated instruction across multiple programs
• Employ data-driven decision-making to support learning progress
• Maintain compliance with all state and district standards
• Foster strong relationships with students, families, and staff
