Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education certification
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs and 504 plans
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with parents, general education teachers, and related services staff
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and classroom management abilities
• Understanding of compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, adapt, and implement individualized instructional strategies and lesson plans for students with varying disabilities
• Monitor and document student progress toward educational goals, adjusting interventions as needed
• Facilitate IEP meetings and develop relevant, measurable goals in conjunction with team members
• Provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Employ differentiated instruction, assistive technology, and behavior management as appropriate
• Work collaboratively with families, therapists, and other staff to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with education laws and school policies
