Special Education Teacher in Hartsville, SC

A K-12 school in Hartsville, SC, is seeking a licensed and certified Special Education Teacher or Coordinator to join their team for a contracted school year assignment. This role involves supporting approximately 25 students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), with the possibility of an increase by 5 to 10 students in the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities include working closely with classroom teachers and families to provide tailored educational support and coordinate services. Approximately 8 students currently receive Speech and/or Occupational Therapy services, highlighting the need for collaboration with related service providers. Facilitating and participating in IEP meetings with parents and teachers is a critical aspect of this role to ensure students' needs are fully addressed.

Flexibility with scheduling is essential, given the dynamic nature of special education and collaboration requirements. The position requires a commitment of 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
