Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid 461 Tennessee teaching license in Special Education
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
  • Thorough understanding of special education laws and best practices
  • Familiarity with the IEP process and curriculum adaptation
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction to students with varying abilities, tailoring lessons to individual needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, families, and service providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student
