Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Louisiana SPED teaching certification or a standard Louisiana teaching certificate with willingness to pursue SPED certification
• Experience working with students with autism and/or in moderate special education settings preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, school staff, and families
• Strong adaptability and communication skills
• Commitment to creating a supportive, fair, and enriching classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and adapt individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in K/1 and middle school moderate special education classes
• Deliver engaging instruction and behavioral support matched to student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all special education regulations
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and goals
• Foster an inclusive, safe learning atmosphere

This position offers a contract of 37.5 hours per week during the 2026-2027 school year, providing a steady schedule in a collaborative and growth-oriented school culture.
