Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Active Special Education Certification in Nebraska
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary level strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of K-5 curriculum and best practices in individualized instruction
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational skills to manage IEPs and student documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to elementary students in special education programs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure student success
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and classroom management techniques to meet diverse needs
  • Track and report students’ progress, adjusting educational plans as necessary
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
