Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential for California, or eligibility for certification
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within a school setting
- Proven track record of successfully instructing students with diverse learning needs
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for adapting teaching strategies to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ unique strengths and challenges
- Lead instruction in both inclusive and self-contained classroom settings
- Administer and interpret assessments to monitor student progress
- Collaborate with general educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure cohesive student support
- Hold and participate in IEP meetings, maintaining all required documentation
