Special Ed Teacher - Hayward, California

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Education Specialist Credential
• Moderate/Severe teaching authorization
• Experience, knowledge, or strong interest in working with high school-aged students in a special education environment
• Comprehensive understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention strategies
• Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, support staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instruction to high school students in a moderate/severe SDC classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Utilize specialized strategies and curriculum to meet the unique academic, emotional, and social needs of each student
• Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that celebrates all learners and promotes independence
• Communicate progress with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
