Special Education Teacher in Hayward, CA

You'll guide and uplift a diverse caseload of students with moderate to severe needs, all while working alongside a dedicated educational team.

Qualifications:

• Active Education Specialist Credential
• Moderate/Severe teaching license
• Previous experience with high school-aged students preferred
• Deep commitment to fostering growth and independence among learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and adapt curriculum for students with moderate/severe disabilities in a high school SDC setting
• Develop and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring compliance and individualized goals are met
• Partner with general education staff, support personnel, and families to maximize student success and inclusion
• Provide direct instruction and ongoing assessment tailored to each learner’s needs
• Create a structured, safe, and welcoming classroom where all students are valued
• Participate in professional development and school initiatives to enhance skills and contribute to a positive school community
