You'll guide and uplift a diverse caseload of students with moderate to severe needs, all while working alongside a dedicated educational team.
Qualifications:
- Active Education Specialist Credential
- Moderate/Severe teaching license
- Previous experience with high school-aged students preferred
- Deep commitment to fostering growth and independence among learners
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and adapt curriculum for students with moderate/severe disabilities in a high school SDC setting
- Develop and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring compliance and individualized goals are met
- Partner with general education staff, support personnel, and families to maximize student success and inclusion
- Provide direct instruction and ongoing assessment tailored to each learner’s needs
- Create a structured, safe, and welcoming classroom where all students are valued
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives to enhance skills and contribute to a positive school community
