Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a contract Special Education Teacher in an RSP classroom. This position involves working with a small, focused caseload of 13 students across Kindergarten through 6th grade. You'll make a meaningful difference each day, helping young learners reach their full potential in a collaborative, engaging academic setting.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience with K-6th grade students preferred
  • Familiarity with Resource Specialist Program (RSP) environments
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and case management
  • Ability to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small group instruction to students with diverse learning needs within the RSP setting
  • Develop, implement, and track student progress toward IEP goals
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers and specialists to support inclusion and instructional strategies
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Foster a positive, structured learning environment that encourages student growth and self-advocacy
  • Communicate regularly with families to share progress and address concerns
