Special Education Teacher | Hayward, California

In this role, you will provide individualized instruction to students in a supportive, inclusive atmosphere. Your work will involve tailoring lesson plans to diverse abilities, collaborating with fellow educators, and ensuring that every student receives the attention and encouragement needed to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Special Education Credential, with at least Mild/Moderate Authorization
• Experience with K-12 students preferred; middle school background is especially valued
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, compliance, and implementation
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to innovate and adapt instruction for various learning styles and needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instructional support to K-12 students in day school settings
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Communicate regularly with families, staff, and support teams
• Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
• Apply effective behavioral and academic interventions
• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
