Special Education Teacher - Hayward, California

This full-time contract opportunity is available immediately and runs through the end of the school year. You'll work with two Resource Specialist Program (RSP) caseloads for middle school students. What You’ll Need:

• Valid and active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential (required)
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Comfort developing and implementing IEPs in a resource or inclusion setting
• Reliable, adaptable, and positive attitude

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve two middle school RSP caseloads, providing direct instruction and support to students with mild to moderate needs
• Develop, review, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in cooperation with staff and families
• Partner with general education teachers to modify curriculum and deliver accommodations
• Track student progress, monitor goal attainment, and maintain compliance with all special education laws and procedures
• Communicate consistently with families and interdisciplinary teams
