With the support of two dedicated teaching assistants, you’ll help guide learners towards their academic and personal goals.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid teaching certification/licensure in Special Education (Elementary level)
- Experience or strong interest in 2nd and 3rd grade education
- Knowledge of adapted curriculum and intensive intervention strategies
- Commitment to differentiated instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs
- Provide direct instruction and intensive interventions in coordination with curriculum standards
- Lead a classroom with approximately 10 students, supported by two experienced teaching assistants
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success
- Create a supportive, structured classroom that celebrates achievements and encourages growth
This full-time position offers a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, fostering a positive work-life balance and allowing you to focus on what matters most—your students.
