3rd Grade Certified Special Education Teacher in Hazelwood, NC

With the support of two dedicated teaching assistants, you’ll help guide learners towards their academic and personal goals.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid teaching certification/licensure in Special Education (Elementary level)
• Experience or strong interest in 2nd and 3rd grade education
• Knowledge of adapted curriculum and intensive intervention strategies
• Commitment to differentiated instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs
• Provide direct instruction and intensive interventions in coordination with curriculum standards
• Lead a classroom with approximately 10 students, supported by two experienced teaching assistants
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and maintain accurate records
• Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success
