Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid licensure as a Special Education Teacher or Intervention Specialist
• Proven experience teaching or supporting elementary-aged students, preferably in a self-contained or resource room setting
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning needs
• Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning space

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and tailored interventions to students with a range of disabilities
• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students’ academic and behavioral goals are met
• Develop, review, and update IEPs in collaboration with the educational team
• Conduct assessments and document student progress regularly
• Implement classroom routines and strategies that promote engagement and independence
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the school’s multidisciplinary team meetings
