Special Education Teacher | Heath Springs, South Carolina

Step into a contract role where your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will have a meaningful impact across multiple school sites. This opportunity offers valuable experience within various classroom settings in a supportive educational environment spanning elementary, middle, high school, and PreK levels. The assignment runs from late July 2026 through May 2027, with a weekly commitment of 35 to 37.5 hours.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and active South Carolina SPED Teacher License with Multi-categorical or relevant certification/endorsement
• Experience working in moderate to co-taught resource rooms or self-contained classrooms
• Comfortable adapting to different age groups and educational settings (elementary, middle, high, PreK)
• Strong classroom management, adaptability, and collaborative skills
• Ability to work onsite across multiple locations as scheduled

Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students with special educational needs in individualized or co-taught settings
• Develop and implement differentiated instructional plans based on student IEPs
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and staff to ensure student success
• Regularly communicate with families regarding student progress and needs
• Maintain organized records and comply with administrative and legal requirements

This is an excellent chance to gain experience with diverse student populations and collaborate within a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Onsite work is preferred for the start of the school year, with the option to discuss virtual engagement closer to the start date.
