Special Education Teacher in Helena, AL

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with K-3 students and diverse learning needs
• Ability to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Collaborative approach to working with staff and families

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to a caseload of 9 students, including 6 in a self-contained setting and 3 receiving pull-out services
• Work closely with a paraprofessional to support student learning and engagement
• Develop and carry out IEPs, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed
• Maintain documentation and comply with all program and legal requirements
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
• Engage in regular communication with parents and multi-disciplinary teams
