Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license required with appropriate Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with middle school students in a self-contained setting strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet varying learning styles and needs
- Passion for advocating for students and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to a small caseload of approximately 12 students in a self-contained classroom
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collect data and track progress on academic, behavioral, and social goals
- Partner with related service providers, parents, and team members to ensure student success
- Assist in the creation of a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and school policies
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions
