Special Education Teacher – Middle School (Self-Contained) | Full-Time | Onsite

This onsite contract opportunity is perfect for a passionate Special Education Teacher dedicated to helping students in grades 6–8 reach their full potential.

Qualifications
• Valid Tennessee teaching license with a 461 Special Education endorsement
• Experience in a self-contained special education classroom preferred
• Strong classroom management and behavior support skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for supporting the academic, emotional, and social success of middle school students

Responsibilities
• Provide individualized instruction based on each student's unique learning needs
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families to support student success
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instruction as needed
• Advocate for students while promoting independence, confidence, and self-advocacy
