Key Qualifications:
- Valid special education teaching certification (state-specific or eligible for reciprocity)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Deliver differentiated instruction in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
- Comply with federal, state, and local special education regulations and policies
