Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification, or eligibility for licensure.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
  • Experience developing and carrying out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt instruction for a diverse student population.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with a range of disabilities.
  • Assess students’ needs, track progress, and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student growth.
  • Write, implement, and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with related service providers, general education teachers, and support staff.
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student confidence and engagement.
  • Participate in ongoing meetings, parent conferences, and professional development.
