- Comfortable managing diverse student needs, including cognitive disabilities and medical support requirements
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside teacher assistants, therapists, and nursing staff
Key Responsibilities:
High School Resource Position:
- Deliver inclusion services within general education classrooms, with occasional pull-out support
- Manage a caseload of approximately 30 students following the Standard Course of Study
- Adapt instruction to meet individual student goals and monitor progress
- Complete necessary IEP documentation and communicate effectively with families and school staff
- Available full-time (35-37 hours/week) or part-time (minimum 30 hours/week)
Adaptive Special Education Position:
- Instruct a small group (8-10 students) exclusively on Extended Content Standards
- Support students with significant cognitive and medical needs, leveraging a multidisciplinary classroom team
- Plan, implement, and track individualized learning activities and care routines
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment in partnership with assistants, therapists, and nurses
- Ideally full-time (35-37 hours/week), but options for part-time (20-30 hours/week) available
