Special Education Teacher - Hickory, North Carolina

• Hold active Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience with elementary general curriculum preferred
• Proficient in managing both inclusion and pull-out service models
• Confident working across all elementary subjects

• Flexibility to adapt to different learning environments
• Comfortable providing support to a diverse group of students with varying needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction aligned with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide differentiated instruction in both inclusion classrooms and pull-out settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers to facilitate student success
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and progress monitoring
• Communicate regularly with families and support staff to ensure student progress
• If open, split time between two nearby campuses (2.5 miles apart): 2 days/week at one campus, 3 days/week at the other
• Option to remain at a single campus if a split placement is not ideal

This position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, allowing for a consistent work routine and opportunities to build lasting student relationships.
