Soliant Education is seeking qualified and dedicated Elementary Special Education Teachers for full-time, school-based opportunities in Hickory, North Carolina for the 2026-2027 school year. Two elementary positions are available, with opportunities for educators experienced in supporting students across both adapted and general curriculum settings.
These positions offer the opportunity to provide individualized instruction, collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams, and help elementary students build the academic, behavioral, social, and functional skills needed for success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-Provide specialized instruction based on individual student needs and IEP goals
-Adapt instructional strategies and materials to support student learning
-Monitor student progress and use data to guide instructional decisions
-Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
-Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning and goal development
-Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and student records
-Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment

-One position requires a North Carolina Adapted Curriculum Special Education license
-One position requires a North Carolina General Curriculum Special Education license

QUALIFICATIONS
-Active North Carolina Special Education teaching license appropriate for the assigned position required
-Adapted Curriculum licensure required for the adapted curriculum opening
-General Curriculum licensure required for the general curriculum opening
-Previous elementary or Special Education teaching experience preferred
-Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
-Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
-Ability to effectively support students with diverse learning needs
