Qualifications & Experience

  • Active EC General Curriculum license required (Adapted licenses not accepted)
  • Previous experience working in public school special education preferred
  • Ability to teach and manage diverse learners with varying needs
  • For autism support roles, comfortable in self-contained settings and adept at providing maximum supports within a general curriculum framework
  • Commitment to following the specific schedule at assigned sites (especially Silver Valley's Mon–Thurs, 8:45 AM–1:45 PM for part-time)
  • Successful completion of standard credentials, background check, and compliance as required by the state

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with general education standards
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment, collaborating closely with related service providers and general education staff
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies
  • Maintain current, accurate documentation and comply with all district and state requirements
