Special Education Teacher | Hill City, Minnesota

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching license with Special Education certification (required)
• Prior experience teaching students with disabilities in grades 6-8 preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct instruction and support to students across various content areas
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and interventions
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and school events
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that instills confidence and encourages growth
