Full-Time, On-site, Special Education Teacher

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced education professional to provide 1:1 support for a 4th-grade female student. The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge in behavior support and be comfortable working with students who may have unique behavioral and educational needs.

This is a full-time opportunity beginning ASAP and continuing through the end of the current school year.

Position Details
Grade Level: 4th Grade
Student Support: 1:1 (one female student)
Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Through the end of the school year
Current Programming: 4 hours per day of support
IEP Meeting: Scheduled for next week to determine the student's programming and ongoing support needs.
Specialized Experience: Behavior expertise or knowledge of behavioral strategies preferred.

Ideal Candidate

Has experience supporting students with behavioral needs.
Understands behavior management and positive behavior support strategies.
Is patient, compassionate, and flexible.
Can build a positive, trusting relationship with a student.
Is comfortable providing individualized, one-on-one student support.
Can adapt to changing student needs and programming recommendations.

Additional Information
The student's IEP meeting is scheduled for next week, at which time the team will determine the appropriate programming and support moving forward. Currently, the student is receiving 4 hours of support per day, with a full-time provider being sought.
