An exciting contract opportunity awaits for dedicated Special Education Teachers to provide instructional support in a school setting near Hilton Head Island, SC for the 2026/2027 academic year. Two positions are available: one focused on elementary/early childhood students and another serving high school students with multi-categorical requirements.

Both roles begin August 3, 2026 and conclude May 28, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 onsite hours. The elementary/early childhood position is based in Seabrook, while the high school opening is located in Bluffton. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for South Carolina.
  • Experience teaching in elementary/early childhood or high school special education settings.
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and parents.
  • Strong communication, organization, and adaptive teaching skills.
  • A commitment to fostering inclusion and meeting the unique needs of each student.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs.
  • Assess student strengths, progress, and needs to adapt instructional techniques.
  • Create engaging, accessible lesson plans and supportive classroom routines.
  • Document and communicate student progress to families and school staff.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for student educational planning.
