Special Education Teacher - Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students’ growth and success in an engaging school community. Three onsite contract positions are open for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year, offering the chance to guide and inspire learners in enriching classroom environments. Assignments include settings focused on intensive support as well as supplemental resource services across elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with students in either intensive support or resource/supplemental settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to foster an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction that meets both academic and behavioral needs of students with exceptionalities
• Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and support staff to provide accommodations and modifications
• Regularly collect, evaluate, and report student progress to families and school teams
• Employ evidence-based strategies and classroom management for diverse learning profiles
• Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings
