Special Education Teacher in Hilton Head Island, SC

Three new openings are available for experienced Special Education Teachers who are passionate about inclusive education and eager to start the 2026/27 school year. Positions are full-time, on-site, and span a variety of educational environments, including intensive support and resource classrooms at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid special education teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Special Education or related field
• Experience with IEP development and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies within inclusive and resource settings
• Differentiate instruction to support a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, families, and administrators
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a welcoming, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence
