Special Education Teacher in Hilton Head Island, SC

In this role, you will:

• Serve as a push-in Resource Teacher, delivering targeted support within general education classrooms.
• Co-teach in at least two core content subject areas, partnering with classroom teachers to foster an inclusive educational setting.
• Manage a caseload of 15–20 students, working closely with each individual, their families, and your colleagues to design and implement effective learning plans.
• Work a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, fully onsite, to provide the structure and continuity your students need.
• Contribute to a collaborative, student-centered team that values diverse perspectives and innovative teaching strategies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Previous experience working with middle school students is highly valued.
• Familiarity with co-teaching models and differentiated instruction.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to advocacy for students with diverse learning needs.
