Several Special Education teaching roles are available to make a tangible impact across a range of settings, from elementary to middle grades, and from co-teaching to transition-focused support. Collaborate with dedicated colleagues and help every student achieve their potential.

Openings include:

  • Core Special Education Teachers: Collaborate with other SPED educators to deliver co-teaching/inclusion services, direct academic instruction, and pull-out support.
  • Resource/Academic Seminar: Provide targeted academic interventions and enrichment for students requiring extra assistance.
  • Transition Teacher: Guide students through the transition to work placements, deliver direct instruction, and manage select IEPs.
  • 5K Transition Teacher: Lead a self-contained classroom for kindergarteners with disabilities, fostering gradual inclusion into general education with the support of two skilled assistants.
  • Self-contained Classroom (Grades 6–8): Teach and support students with moderate disabilities in a classroom staffed with two committed assistants.

Qualifications:

  • Current Special Education Teacher certification required
  • Experience in co-teaching, inclusion, or resource settings preferred
  • Understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Patience, strong communication skills, and collaborative spirit
  • Adaptability to diverse student needs across various grade levels

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized instruction based on student IEPs
  • Co-teach and collaborate with general education and SPED teams
  • Collect data to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Foster inclusive classrooms focused on student growth
  • Engage with families and staff to build a comprehensive support network
