Special Education Teacher | Hodges, South Carolina

This full-time contract opportunity provides the chance to work closely with a small, specialized caseload of less than 10 students, fostering a nurturing and engaging educational environment. Please note: caseload details may be updated pending district decisions regarding potential program combinations.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification in South Carolina is required
• Experience in early childhood or preschool special education preferred
• Ability to adapt instruction and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with parents, paraprofessionals, and staff
• Flexible and responsive to change, as program structure and caseload may shift

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to preschool students in a self-contained classroom
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress, maintaining comprehensive records and documentation
• Collaborate with related service providers and classroom staff to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment
• Participate in team meetings and family conferences
• Adjust instructional strategies to meet changing caseload and student needs
