What you’ll bring:

• Current Mild/Moderate License qualifying you for an elementary self-contained special education classroom
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in elementary settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to comfortably adapt instructional methods and create individualized plans based on student needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for diverse learners

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans tailored to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment supporting all learners
• Conduct ongoing assessments, track progress, and adjust strategies to encourage academic and social growth
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, aides, administrators, and other support staff
• Engage families in their child’s educational journey through regular updates and meetings
• Document progress and maintain compliance with all local and federal special education requirements
