Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Missouri Special Education Teacher certification or appropriate credentials
• Experience working with K-12 students, in either self-contained or resource settings
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and families to best support student needs
• Strong work ethic, commitment to ongoing professional growth, and a consistently positive attitude

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, effective instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Manage IEP development, implementation, and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Adapt lessons and teaching approaches to meet individual student goals
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and school staff while advocating for each student’s unique strengths
• Uphold all general duties and responsibilities required of Special Education Teachers
