Qualifications:
- Valid and active Illinois Special Education teaching licensure and certification
- Prior school-based experience required
- Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week (8:40AM – 3:25PM)
- Comfortable teaching in a self-contained, instructional classroom (grades 3-4)
- Effective communication and collaborative skills
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized instructional plans for a classroom of 5 students in grades 3rd and 4th
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with staff, families, and support services to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate assessments, records, and compliance with IEP goals
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
