An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide support in both elementary and high school settings near Hooksett, NH. This temporary role is perfect for an experienced educator seeking a rewarding, short-term assignment, covering a 3-month leave. Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid certification in Special Education (appropriate for the state of New Hampshire)
- Experience working with elementary and/or high school students in special education settings
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
- Effective communication skills with students, parents, and fellow staff
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with a variety of abilities and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work with small groups and individual students to support academic, behavioral, and social goals
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
- Participate in team meetings and maintain thorough documentation
- Communicate progress to families and engage them in the educational process
