Special Education Teacher in Hopewell Junction, NY

Multiple contract opportunities are available for Special Education Teachers across a range of age groups—spanning PreK through grade 12—with immediate start dates. Qualifications and Certifications:

• Valid New York State Special Education Teacher certification specific to the grade level(s) assigned
• Master’s degree in Education required
• Experience with students in special education settings (Preschool through Grade 8 preferred)
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and instructional materials for individualized needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, working with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction following each student’s IEP
• Tailor curriculum and activities for optimal, differentiated learning
• Provide behavioral and academic support to students with diverse abilities
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records and participate in regular team and IEP meetings
• Communicate progress and strategies with families and caregivers
