Key Qualifications:

• Valid New York Special Education Endorsement
• At least two years of recent experience teaching special education
• Strong proficiency in developing, writing, and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Confident presenting information and recommendations at IEP meetings
• Experience in student assessment and goal tracking
• Passion for fostering growth and inclusion across diverse learning needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Write and regularly update IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Conduct student testing to track progress and inform instructional strategies
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, sharing insights and supporting student advocacy
