This full-time position focuses on an EBD (Emotional Behavior Disorders) caseload in a supportive school setting. The assignment begins August 22nd, providing the opportunity to start the academic year by supporting students’ growth and success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD) at the middle school level is highly valued
  • Understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and specialized instruction techniques
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, for collaboration with parents, colleagues, and service providers
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to implement positive behavioral intervention strategies
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of students with EBD, developing and executing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students’ unique needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff to ensure accommodations and services are provided
  • Regularly assess students’ progress, adjust strategies, and communicate updates to families and staff
  • Foster a safe, respectful classroom culture that encourages student participation, social-emotional growth, and academic achievement
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
