Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting preschoolers as an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher, making an impact on young learners aged 3-5. Located at a center-based program, you’ll use evidence-based interventions embedded in everyday play, helping children with disabilities grow cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically. With smaller class sizes and intensive support, you’ll lay essential groundwork for your students’ lifelong learning and success.
Your weekdays will follow a structured schedule, with mornings dedicated to one group and afternoons to another:
- Morning Class: 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
- Afternoon Class: 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
- Contract position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring individualized support for each child.
- Conduct detailed assessments and classroom observations to guide eligibility and instructional planning.
- Foster meaningful collaboration with families, classroom staff, and specialized service providers.
- Offer ongoing coaching and direction to paraprofessional staff.
- Integrate positive behavior supports and social-emotional learning techniques to nurture classroom engagement and self-regulation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Early Childhood Special Education licensure is required.
- Experience in early childhood or special education settings.
- Commitment to an inclusive, play-based, and child-centered approach.
- Strong skills in observation, documentation, and progress monitoring.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and instructional teams.
