Special Education Teacher in Hopkins, MN

We are seeking two dedicated professionals to serve in contract positions—one at the elementary level, and another covering upper elementary with some secondary responsibilities. Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting (elementary or secondary preferred)
• Strong understanding of IEP development, instructional adaptation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a variety of learner needs
• Positive, flexible attitude with a commitment to student success

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students based on IEP goals and accommodations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized student plans and report on progress
• Participate in staff development sessions scheduled for the week of 8/24 and 8/31
• Support a smooth transition as students begin their school year starting 9/8
• Handle classroom management and foster a safe, supportive space for all students
